Glamour Camp 2013 Recap
It's hard to believe Summer is almost over and school starts in less than 2 weeks! Last week we finished our third & final week of Glamour Camp! We can definitely say an amazing time was had by all: campers & counselors alike!
We debuted a couple of new and exciting themes and new craft techniques. By far, the favorite new craft technique as the reverse stencil we used with fabric sprays on tote bags, pillowcases and t-shirts. It's super easy to do! and all it takes is a hot glue gun and wax paper. Just write your favorite sayings (we loved peace, happiness, love and girl power) on the wa paper and allow to dry.
Peel off the wax paper, place on a cloth item of your choice, and spray fabric spray over it! This was a hit for the girls, and you can change your sayings to go with your craft (such as sleepy head for pillow cases and cupcake for aprons). This is an easy, and inexpensive craft to add to any birthday party (we also feature t-shirts, tote bags and pillowcase crafts in our 'Tween/Teen themes).
Another big hit was cupcake day. Girls decorated aprons and then iced their own cupcakes and decorated them with toppings. The girls' most favorite toppings were crushed oreos, candy mustaches, and pop rocks!
Of course, no day at Darlings & Divas, whether camp or a birthday party, would be complete without lots of dancing, dress-up and just plain old girls goofing around!
We can't wait 'til next Summer. We're sure to come up with some new awesome and creative themes, and bring back our favs!
